"Cupid Operations" is the debut tape of Berlin's trio Halfsilks. As a result of an intense year of song writing, the albums depict the band sonic and lyrical landscape, with nine synth-driven, angular pop songs about horses, outdated technologies and female role-models.
Naming as influence 60s girl group and the best post punk, Halfsilks deliver a very personal, catchy sound that is essentially all and none of it, with songs full of taste and true charm.

Halfsilks is the result of bassist/ vocalist Karen (of Gym Tonic, The Anna Thompsons, Canyon Spree) and drummer/ vocalist Jana (of Point No Point, Soft Grid, Dropout Patrol) dragging synth player Marcia into the rehearsal room. Initially more of a loose project, Halfsilks quickly became an actual band as the members’ professional and musical lives came to a halt over the last months.
